It is a comic book tale of two brawling, bar goers that belong to a guild of men known as the "College Prophets". They awaken a gigantic, two-story tall, haunted wishing well (The Well That Ate Children). It begins pumping water into the ground causing the townspeople to go insane. Only with math, magic and violence can they attempt to shut down the well and restore things back to what they consider normal. But they'll need help from their friends because not only has the Well come alive, but it has turned other Prophets evil and they now fight on its side. The film is like Batman meets Pi meets the Wonder boys. Yes, it's weird, but utterly captivating.
Starring: Thomas Edward Seymour, Phil Guerette, Russ Russo, Matt Ford, Paul Desimone, Carmine Capobianco, Christopher Renna, Tina Angelillo, Tauntus Branham, Keith Walkley, Dick Boland and Phil Hall
"The Land of College Prophets could easily become the first genuine cult hit of the DV era and may even end up being one of the better independent genre films of 2006."
"Stunning, The action itself is expertly choreographed and beautifully photographed...an entertaining, fast-paced, original, visceral piece of film-making."
"a little bit of "Fight Club", a little bit of "Mortal Kombat", and a little bit of "In the Mouth of Madness", it's without a doubt an odd amalgam of many concepts intertwined in to one fun action flick." with "action-packed epic battle scenes."
"Thomas edward Seymour... likeable, in a soft-spoken and unpretentious way. Built like a roughneck but with the demeanor of a coffee house poet, he is an appealing hero"
"The Land of College Prophets is a very ambitious piece, and it is undeniably unique...a refreshing turn from the all-too-numerous uninspired indie flicks out there. "
